- How soon can I book a session?
Appointments are typically reserved 3-4 weeks in advance depending on the type of shoot and time of year. Although, we’ve received reservations as early as 18 months in advance (mostly weddings for that much time in advance), as well as emergency next day shoots for last-minute pictorial submissions. Regardless, we always do our best to accommodate.
- Where will the shoot(s) take place?
We’re not real fans of studio photography and prefer shooting anywhere else but. We feel that studio photography, though a nice and an easy environment at times, it becomes a bit impersonal and just plain drab. We suggest the shoots to take place at parks, beaches, deserts, mountains, or even right in the heart of downtown metropolitan areas… wherever we can capture and highlight the genuine character and beauty of our clients. Sometimes, even your own backyard is the perfect place! If you have something else in mind, we’re open to try new venues as well, so share with us your vision and we’ll do our best to make it happen!
- Do you just service the Greater Los Angeles area?
No. We regularly service all of Southern California and Las Vegas, but can also provide services to destinations worldwide, if requested. If you would like us to travel and/or accompany you to your destination for a session, please don’t hesitate to inquire!
- What is included in your sessions, and what is actually delivered?
There are a lot of different ways that photographers deliver their final product to clients. For basics shoots, most photographers only offer 1 hour of photography with a limited number of images (approx. 10-25, with only 2 of the images edited or “touched up”) and maybe an 8×10 print. While others provide “up to” 20 images on a CD, but you are required to buy a certain number or a package of prints as well. There are even those who do a per-print charge only and do not offer the proof images at all, if you can believe that! While this obviously doesn’t apply to all photographers, we’re sure that this isn’t really news to you either, if you’ve been shopping around. We don’t understand why these photographers just don’t provide the client with all of their images. What do they do with all of the images anyway?
We, on the other hand, provide you with ALL of the fully-edited images (minus the occasional dud shots, of course) that were taken during the shoot, so that you will have a fun time selecting the ones you’ll want to print. And, we also provide you those same images in black & white as well! So now you have twice the number of images to search through! We often get complaints that there are too many to choose from, but we actually appreciate those types of complaints!
Aside from weddings, events, and special projects, standard sessions such as portraits, will include the following:
- Up to 2 hours of photography (additional time, if necessary, will be charged by the hour)
- As many looks (wardrobe changes) as you like, within the time allotted
- CD/DVD of the fully-edited, high-resolution .jpg proof images, in both color and black & white
- How soon can I expect the delivery of our images?
Depending on the type of shoot, delivery can range typically from 2-3 weeks for portraits, and up to 8-9 weeks for weddings. Most of time, delivery is sooner, but will be dependent on the type of shoot, time of year, and the project(s) at hand.
- Do I have the rights to print the images that you provide?
With every session, we provide a copyright release so that you will have all of the rights to do with the images as you wish, with the exception that you agree to not sell, distribute, or use the provided images for marketing and/or profit without proper consent from us.
- Do I need to schedule Hair and Make-Up?
It’s not necessary for most shoots. However, it is highly recommended for certain shoots, such as Weddings (of course), Corporate, Professional, Fashion, and so on. We have a couple of longstanding relationships with fantastic hair and makeup artists, but you are welcome to hire your own. Just let us know in advance.
- Do we need to meet prior to the shoot(s)?
Not necessary, unless there are specific details that we will need to abide by, or if you have special requests that will require additional time and effort. We’ll be able to decide what will be necessary upon time of booking.
- Do you provide any services other than photography?
Absolutely! We provide post production services for photo and video as well, so if you have prints or images that you feel need a bit of love, pizzazz, some character, or depth, we can fully edit or simply touch-up those images for you and give them a whole new dimension!
If you have an old home video on tape that you want transferred onto a DVD, or have a media file created so that you can playback that video on your computer/phone/tablet, or a wedding video that was shot with the family camcorder that’s about 2 hours too long that you want edited to give it more flow, or a combination of pictures and video clips that you want to put together in a video montage for a birthday or anniversary present, we do that too! Let us know what you would like done and we’ll get started!
We are also partnered with amazing graphic artists who do amazing work, so if you need a company logo, album cover, or flyers to promote an event, please inquire and we’ll get the ball rolling!
Occasionally, we also provide videography services for special projects, but recommend that you hire a video production company for big events and venues such as weddings and corporate functions. We have relationships with reputable video production companies and individuals that we feel will meet your needs and requirements if you’re interested, but feel free to run it by us regardless, and we will do our best to accommodate you!
- What are your rates?
Session and event rates will vary depending on the type of session, location, and what each client specifically wants. As every client wants something different from the other, there is no way to determine flat rates, as we always customize sessions to accommodate your needs and budget. So, give us a call or send us an email to set up a consultation, and let’s design YOUR session today!
Note: Once your session is tentatively reserved, we require a non-refundable 20% down payment within 5 business days to officially confirm and book it. The remaining balance will be due at the time of the shoot. Requests to reschedule, if necessary, must be submitted to us no later than 72 hours prior to the scheduled session. Weddings and event rescheduling requests must be submitted no later than 7 days prior. Rescheduling later than the times allowed, will result in the forfeiture of the original down-payment, and will be considered as a new appointment.
Specials: Throughout the year, we will offer special deals and discounts and will post them on facebook, so make sure you “like” our facebook fan page so you get the latest updates and visit us often to keep in the loop.
Incentives: We also offer referral discounts for future sessions! Once you’ve had a complete session with us and enjoyed your experience, refer us to friends, family, co-workers, or whoever else that hasn’t worked with us before, and once we’ve completed that session with them, you’ll receive a coupon for a 20% discount off of a future portrait session with us! Better yet, refer 5 new clients, and once those sessions have been completed, we will give you a FREE portrait session, on us!
